About Frauke

Hi, my name is Frauke. I am a designer and product developer for women’s lingerie. From the sketch, the pattern, the workmanship and the fit: I work for my own as well as for other brands.

The creation of bras in particular is a passion of mine. Everyone’s body is unique. From small to large busts, even persons with the same measurements have a different built. It takes experience, dedication and patience to get it right.

Whilst no garment will fit everyone, I aim to get it fit as many as possible. I believe my approach is different to most: I start with how bodies are actually shaped, rather than with the ‘ideal’ body shape. It’s beautiful that we are all different and it should stay that way. If we are curvaceous or slender, young or more mature: What we need is a matching wrapping that makes us look and feel great.

That's why I design specifically for individual body needs up to larger sizes.’


LINGERIE EXCLUSIVELY FROM THE DESIGNER

In 2010, I founded my own company and brand Fräulein Annie. At that time, I was living and working in London. With years of experience, a lot of motivation and passion, I developed the collection with a Chinese manufacturer with whom I have worked closely for many years. I was regularly on-site in China and therefore knew that the company met the highest standards of quality and ethics.

WHY FRÄULEIN ANNIE?

Inspired by the style of Berlin in the 1920s, a chanson by Marlene Dietrich served as inspiration for the name Fräulein Annie. The glamour of this era celebrated femininity and exuded self-confidence.

With Fräulein Annie, I want to help women feel comfortable in their own skin, regardless of their size or age. Our grandmothers wore their underwear to look their best. Translating this style into modern materials, cuts, and aesthetics fascinates me.
